Through the intersession of an architect friend, in 1987 I began shooting interiors to document completed projects by the very chic designer Andrée Putman’s New York office. I used my Leica on a tripod, available light, and long exposures. My fee was reasonable and they paid promptly.
I liked the jobs a lot, which you can see in the photos. Great light makes rooms beautiful; so do works of art, and I was able to take advantage of both.
