From the photographic evidence presented, I did a lot of traveling this year, trips to Washington, DC and Denver in the early Spring, a family trip to Boston around July 4, and a long, late Summer cross country journey, beginning in Ontario, Canada and reaching Yellowstone Park before a return to New York via Ohio.

In between, I lost my job at Modern Photography magazine after it was purchased by a rival company and closed. While no one suspected it at the time, the contraction in the magazine business, brought on first by personal computers and, soon enough, the internet, had begun.
