Ending a year of travel, Jane and I went to Paris that December for about three weeks. I brought the Wista 4×5 and a medium format twin lens Rollieflex, shots from which follow.
I never got used to using that camera, mainly my difficulty framing and focusing the square image through a reliably dark viewfinder. Worse, I never liked the prints I made from the negatives. I tried using it for a couple years, but when I got back to New York, I sold the Rollie and got a Pentax 67, a medium format SLR that rendered a reassuringly rectangular picture.
